Here it is...our timber legs have been installed on our new display table.
This table is made from live edge Blackbutt timber slabs with ocean inspired resin. The resin starts at the bottom with a solid ocean, then continues up with layers of light and dark currents followed by a clear. As much as we love the ocean pours, we tend to recommend only tinted colours, as over time researchers say even UV stabilised resin will slightly yellow - adding a tint makes this not visible. So the plan with this display table is we are going to keep it and try out a new finishing product. This product is meant to give the same natural wood look we love, but provide more scratch resistance (9H on the hardness scale) as well as being UV resistant and even more water resistant...so we are going to test this one out and see how it goes. In the meantime, we have a gorgeous display table that you can come and see to get ideas for your next table.
We will also be testing out our new x-spider leg design for practicality. Although I must say, the other leg prototype Justin designed, has had its first production this week and it definitely going to be the new favourite. But more about that next week...as I have to wait until after that table is delivered this weekend to share it with you.
